What We Don't Collect

• No video recordings stored - Your video streams are transmitted directly between devices and are never stored on our servers.
• No audio recordings stored - Audio is streamed in real-time and is not recorded or saved.
• No personal information sold - We will never sell your data to third parties. Ever.
• No tracking or profiling - We don't build profiles about you or track your behavior.

What We Do Process

To provide the baby monitoring service, we process the following data temporarily:

• Session tokens: Temporary encrypted tokens that allow devices to connect securely. These expire automatically.
• Push notification tokens: Device tokens required to send you alerts (like cry detection). These are associated with your session only.
• Anonymous analytics: Basic, anonymized usage statistics to improve the app (e.g., app opens, feature usage). No personal data is included.

How Video Streaming Works

BlinkBaby uses peer-to-peer technology where possible, meaning video streams flow directly between your devices without passing through our servers. When direct connection isn't possible, we use secure relay servers that only transmit data - they cannot view or store your video.

All streams are encrypted end-to-end, meaning only your devices can decrypt and view the content.

Push Notifications

To send you alerts (like cry detection or low battery warnings), we need to temporarily store your device's push notification token. This token:

• Is only used to deliver notifications you've opted into
• Is automatically deleted when your session ends
• Cannot be used to identify you personally

Data Retention

We retain minimal data for the shortest time necessary:

• Session data: Automatically deleted when you end the monitoring session or after 24 hours of inactivity
• Push tokens: Deleted when the session ends
• Analytics: Aggregated and anonymized, retained for up to 90 days to improve our service

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• LiveKit: For real-time video/audio streaming infrastructure
• Apple Push Notification service: For delivering push notifications to iOS devices
• Firebase Analytics: For anonymous, aggregated usage analytics

Each of these services has their own privacy policy and we've chosen them for their strong privacy practices.

Children's Privacy

BlinkBaby is designed to monitor children, but the app is intended for use by parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• End your session at any time, which deletes all associated data
• Disable push notifications in your device settings
• Request information about any data we may have
• Contact us with any privacy concerns
